Three monks

Since 2015, the Garden of the Danish King, which can be considered the most plentiful haunt of ghosts in Tallinn, has been the home of three 2.5-metre tall bronze monks:  The Waiting Monk Ambrosius, The Praying Monk Bartholomeus and The Watching Monk Claudius. The work “Three” by Simson von Seakyll (Aivar Simson) and Paul Mänd is the winning work of the design competition, organised by the City of Tallinn.

The sculptures are complemented by lighting and an information board on the city wall. This is one of many projects through which Merko and main shareholders of the company have contributed to society.
