Niguliste Museum’s Silver Chamber

The Niguliste Museum’s Silver Chamber, opened in 2011, exhibits the oldest and finest of the Art Museum of Estonia’s silver collection. The exposition in the former sacristy is divided into three parts: St Nicholas’ Church silver, the silver of the Brotherhood of Black Heads and the silver of the guilds and crafts (Kanuti Guild, Toomgild, Merchants’ Grand Guild). Only a few European cities have preserved as much silver from guilds and fraternities as Tallinn.
