The construction of Skanstes houses began in 2012. Within three years, three apartment houses and a landscaped area around the buildings were completed. Merks intends to continue to implement improvement works of the surrounding territory together with enhancing the urban aesthetic and functional quality of the Skanstes Street district. In November 2013, during the project implementation, the Skanstes houses development team completed an eight-storey building with 64 apartments on 17 Grostonas Street. Subsequently, a ten-storey building on 19 Grostonas Street with 82 apartments was built. The final and largest house with 125 apartments was completed in April 2015. This building is constructed of five, eight and ten-storey blocks. The project includes an underground car park and warehouse premises for the apartment owners. The total apartment area of the Skanstes houses is over 20,000 square metres. Skanstes houses meet today’s customer needs, by encompassing a modern layout where each square metre is used effectively, high quality and price ratio, and sustainability that will maintain its value and quality.
