Under the contract, a new 110/20kV substation will be built in the village of Kiini in Viljandi County. The substation will start supplying the Puiatu compressor station with electricity, which is part of the Balticconnector project linking the Estonian and Finnish gas transmission networks. In addition, security of supply of electricity is increasing in the area as the substation is also used to supply the final consumers.

A 110kV external switchyard, a control building and access roads will be built at the Kiini substation. In addition, a 20kV switchgear will be installed in the building, and a foundation for the transformer base with an oil separation system will be built. The construction of the substation will be carried out using the “turnkey” method.
