The three new 5-storeyed apartment buildings of RAND city villas and a reconstructed earlier yard house that represents the milieu of the Kalamaja district are located near the Old Town and the rapidly developing quarters near Tallinn City Hall and the Seaplane Harbour. The luxurious seaside buildings accommodate 31 flats and six business spaces. All flats have balconies or spacious terraces with beautiful views.

The architectural solution of city villas is based on the earlier architecture of Kalaranna Street and attempts to create a harmonious living environment. Brick, wood and concrete have been used on the facades of the houses; their combinations give each house its character, still connecting the buildings with their surroundings and forming a consistent ensemble with the cityscape. The yard area between the houses is landscaped and structured, with verdant spaces for privacy and a playground. Cars are parked underground to leave more space at the street level for enjoying the view on the sea and the living environment.
