We take responsibility for our decisions and actions that affect employees, customers and partners, as well as local communities, the environment and society at large.
Ethical business practices
Ethical practices and business integrity are important to us. By adhering to high ethical principles, we promote profitable growth, win the trust of our stakeholders, and support fair competition and equal treatment.
We expect our employees, customers and partners to follow ethical business practices in their daily work. Potential or actual unethical behaviour must be reported in order to prevent it continuing and causing harm to the company.
The Merko Ehitus Group employs a total of nearly 700 people in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway, including office staff, project managers and site teams. Experienced professionals in their field are a key value of the company. We develop responsible management; our HR policy supports the achievement of the company’s goals and we treat our employees as partners.
The environmental management system of the Group’s companies complies with the ISO 14001 standard. We assess the environmental impact of projects and organise waste management on construction sites, paying attention to sorting waste and partnering only with appropriately licensed waste disposal services.
We consider it important to contribute to society. We sponsor sports and recreational projects, we encourage engineering and construction education, and value art and culture.
